Stage 2 of the Devon structural review has begun

29th April 2008

The Boundary Committee is now considering the initial concepts received during stage 1 of the structural review in Devon.

22 concepts for unitary patterns of local government in Devon were received from a variety of individuals and organisations. These included concepts for the expansion of the existing Plymouth and Torbay unitary authorities.

You can read all the concepts on our website at http://www.boundarycommittee.org.uk/our-work/devonstrrev.cfm

The Committee have now met to discuss the concepts. The next step will be to write to all relevant interested parties for further information about their concepts. Copies of requests for further information from the Boundary Committee are also available on the website.

The Committee’s draft proposal will be published on 7 July at which stage a full public consultation will begin. More information on how to have your say will be available nearer the time.
